Knowing I had to start wearing glasses full time I decided I wanted something better and more stylish than the normal high street options. I booked an appointment with Clarke & Roskrow last November and had a very professional and thorough eye check/test with Vikesh. Jason then helped me enormously with choosing a pair to suit and this was an extremely difficult choice as the range of glasses were incredible and immense. The undivided attention and assistance I have had has been truly amazing. All the staff are so attentive and the personal service they give you is excellent. I have now been wearing my glasses for a couple of months and cannot say how grateful I am to everyone for all the help and support given and the confidence I now have in wearing glasses permanently. Thank you very much for a first class service.

I decided to go to Clarke and Roskrow for a styling appointment after searching in vain for glasses that were not the same as everyone else's, actually fit well and suited my face. An enlightening and entertaining hour in Tina's experienced hands led to 2 new pairs of funky and original specs (just the beginning of my glasses wardrobe I think as I'm already following some of their designers and looking forward to my next pairs!)This is a truly unique and lovely opticians who make the experience of trying on specs so enjoyable.

My husband and I have just had new glasses. While I really appreciate the expertise, the gorgeous frames and the lovely premises, what moves me is the way my husband, who is struggling with Alzheimer’s, is handled. Anthony and Bhav treat him with dignity and infinite patience as well as a sprinkling of humour, so that what could easily be a difficult time for him, becomes like a visit to a favourite son or grandson. Time is a precious gift, one I am so pleased to accept at Clarke and Roskrows. Thank you.

I recently visited Clarke & Roskrow and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. My eye test with Anthony was very thorough and professional and Bhav was superb and great fun. I thought that the service and experience at my previous opticians was good but then a friend recommended you. The experience was delightful, the outcome (a new pair of vari-focal sunglasses) to be fully tested during a trip to Australia in March and the chocolates all made the 50 round mile trip more than worthwhile. I couldn't recommend you more highly for both your service and your products, and my bar is set fairly high.......

I travel quite a distance to come to this optician - because they’re outstanding! They have the most exquisite selection of frames, and I absolutely love the team here. Everyone goes out of their way to cater to any need you have. I have access issues and they’ve done everything they could to make my visits stress free and highly enjoyable.Anthony gave me my eye exam - he was so kind and the test was extremely thorough with some state of the art equipment - he explained the process as he went along which made for a really interesting experience too! I then had the most enjoyable hour choosing frames with Jason who is a pure delight - he put me at absolute ease and took me through a variety of different frames - some of the most beautiful I’ve seen. He has fantastic taste and I was very glad for his help - because the biggest problem was narrowing my choice - I ended up getting two complementary frames, one elegant, the other a bit more arty. I’ve just got home and Im even more delighted now!I’m not surprised that this wonderful company has entirely 5 star reviews - looking after my eyesight is a top priority for me and I trust this team implicitly to do that. Always a great experience at Clarke & Roskow with a very thorough eye test with everything explained. Choosing new frames with Tina was good fun and she was extremely helpful in picking out the right shapes to suit me and one of my purchases was the first pair she pulled for me to try. Collecting my new glasses was made into such a lovely occasion too with Tina putting in so much preparation to make sure everything was ready for me. I will be back!

I love this place. It's one of the few places left that treat you like you're someone they're actually glad to have in the building. The level of time, care and attention, professionalism and expertise is genuinely impressive and has been for the entire time I've been using them (something like 8 years so far). Choosing glasses at the opticians isn't normally that brilliant an experience, however, Clarke & Roskrow have it sorted. Everyone I met in store whilst choosing my new specs was more than kind and attentive. Bhav was just brilliant, with his incredible knack of knowing what glasses will work before you even know yourself. I am very appreciative of the kindness shown to me by Anthony and all the staff at Clarke & Roskrow. My mobility is poor now but they are so helpful and Baz brings the frames down to me as I cannot use the stairs. Because of my stature I cannot stand straight but I have been found a comfortable attractive pair of frames so I am no longer peering over the top of them. Thank you all so much.
