Well here we are, welcome to this Christmas edition of The Church Street Chronicle and the final one for 2019! I can’t quite believe that another year has almost passed and that Christmas will soon be upon us! With December literally around the corner I can now start to feel a little more festive!
Putting up the Christmas tree is already marked on the calendar for Sunday 1st December! Not quite sure what the dog, Wilfred, will make of it but what could possibly go wrong?!
Christmas in the Clarke family is likely to be a busy and noisy affair, with both sets of grandparents joining us for Xmas Eve and Xmas Day. The boys are very fortunate to have both sets of grandparents and they love having them both at our house for Christmas. The promise of presents probably helps! Unusually for us we’ll be heading off for a few days between Christmas and New Year to spend some time on the Northumberland coast, between Alnick and Berwick-upon-Tweed. I haven’t visited Northumberland since I was a child, but have fond memories
of spending an October half-term holiday there with my parents, so it’ll be nice to be there with my children and Karen (and of course the dog!) this Christmas.
I’d like to take the opportunity through these pages to wish you all a very happy, healthy and fun-filled Christmas with your nearest and dearest, and wish you all the very best for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. Cheers!
(Just so you know, the practice will be closed from 4pm on Monday 23rd December
and will reopen at 9:30am on Thursday 2nd January 2020).
