We’ve had the pleasure of meeting Gai numerous times when we’ve visited trade shows. Her passion for her craft is infectious and inspiring. Founded in 1986 by architect Henrik Lindberg and his father, optometrist Poul-Jørn Lindberg, the brand set out to redefine eyewear with innovation and elegance. Born from the love between a young optician (Valentin) and his artistic and creative partner (Anne), Anne et Valentin has been a firm favourite here at C&R for almost a decade. Anne and Valentin had their own successful optical shop in south-west France, but became increasingly frustrated by the dull, mundane, uninspiring frames they were offering their clientele. Fuelled by their creative vision, they created their own line of eyewear that broke traditional molds and celebrated self-expression. Forty years on, A&V is still pushing boundaries and carving their own path with contemporary flair and a playful spirit.
