Advanced Eye Examinations
At Clarke & Roskrow Styling Opticians, we believe in offering our clients the highest standard of clinical care. The Clarke & Roskrow EyeCare Plan enables clients to access our 50-minute Advanced Eye Examination, using state-of-the-art diagnostic technology. Examinations are conducted as often as necessary, and you can be seen for any emergency or concerns about your eyes/vision without extra charge. Additional monitoring or repeat tests/investigations are also included in the plan. All tests are conducted by your Optometrist, not a technician, with results available immediately so that any anomalies found can be investigated thoroughly and in a timely manner.
Our Advanced Eye Examination offers reassurance and peace of mind that everything is being done to ensure that your eyes are in the best of health, as well as enabling you to benefit from the best vision possible.

How do I sign-up to the EyeCare Plan?
Joining the EyeCare Plan is easy! You can either sign-up now and start receiving the benefits immediately, or you can wait until your next visit, and we can take care of everything then.

How do I pay for the EyeCare Plan?
The EyeCare Plan is a monthly subscription by direct debit administered by our partners at GoCardless. It’s quick and easy to set-up, all we need is your email address.
I already pay by direct debit for my Contact Lens Plan.
That’s great! You don’t need to do anything as you now automatically benefit from all the features of the EyeCare Plan.
If you wear contact lenses and are not already on our Contact Lens Plan, you can join now from £11/month and benefit from all the other features of the EyeCare Plan and make savings on your contact lens purchases. Call the team for more information.
I don’t usually pay for my sight-test, does this still apply to me?
Yes. We no longer offer NHS Sight-Tests, which only provide for a basic level of clinical care and time, something we no longer feel comfortable offering. Instead, we prefer all our clients to benefit from the highest level of clinical care with our Advanced Eye Examination; and just £7.00/month (or two cappuccinos in town!) covers all this and more.
Can I just continue to pay for my eye examination?
Yes of course! The EyeCare Plan offers the best value for money but if you’d prefer to just “pay per visit” that’s fine. Please call the team for our current “pay per visit” consultation fees.

Eye exam was excellent and follow up to choose a new pair of glasses was the best I have experienced in 25 years of eye wear. No hard sales pressure just amazing customer service. A far cry from the national chains. 101% recommended.
After using the same optician for the last 10 years, I decided it was time for a change and my wife suggested Clarke & Roskrow. Wow! If you want passionate, professional and friendly people giving excellent service, over and above the norm, this is the place for you. Impressed with the extremely thorough eye test and the eye wear selection process. Such exciting choices too! None of the usual pressure to choose, more relaxing and hence, very enjoyable. This is an experience in itself. Excited for my next visit!
Have been coming here for a year or so and have 2 pairs of stunning glasses in my collection so far. I love that you get something unique and the service is second to none. Everyone I have seen is super knowledgeable and helpful and seem to have a knack at knowing what will suit you. They are very honest which I also love as this is really helpful when making your final selection.
I won’t go anywhere else for my glasses now. A must visit, you won’t be disappointed.
After a 10 year flirtation with a “High Street” optician I have gone back Clarke and Roskow in Church Street. I am delighted with my new glasses (weighing only 11 grams) so I hope I will not have to go in every two months for repairs to make them wearable as I had to do with the other optician. It was like going home and they had my records from 30 years ago. And they gave me a box of chocolates with my new specs!
C & R provide a fabulous experience in which time is no barrier to finding the right lens and frames. For about 15 years, I have followed Mr. Clarke around wherever he has worked and I’m delighted that he now has his own practice. Patients are lucky that he decided to open his practice in Leicestershire. A brilliant Optometrist and you receive first-class eye care and he has a fantastic range of frames.
Excellent service from all the friendly staff, who each made me feel important and filled me with confidence that they knew what they’re doing. Far better than any High Street chain but if it’s cheap that you’re after then they may not be for you.
I visited early this year and Anthony and The Team worked there magic and I now have a new set of lightweight stylise frames. I love the personal, professional and honest service I received and can’t wait to return and have a new pair from the Autumn collection as a little Christmas gift to me.
