This was my first time at Clarke and Roskrow, but I chose them because they’ve really looked after my wife and son's eye care. Anthony did a thorough eye test, explaining everything as he went along, and Bhav was incredibly friendly and attentive, helping me choose a lovely pair of glasses and making sure all the details were spot on. They make a fantastic team, and I felt totally looked after. I definitely recommend them for anyone wanting a welcoming and professional experience!

After the sudden loss of sight in my left eye, I decided to maximize my vision with the best glasses and prescription possible. I chose Clarke & Roskrow, recommended by a consultant at Leicester Eye Hospital, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.Before my appointment, I extensively researched what I thought I needed from high street opticians and conveyed this to Anthony when I arrived. Unlike high street opticians who might have simply sold me what I thought I needed, Anthony took the time to explain why those choices were not ideal and offered clear, well-reasoned alternatives. The eye test was thorough and unrushed, lasting at least 50 minutes, with Anthony explaining each step and my results in a calm and informative manner.After the eye test, Bhau guided me through the selection of frames, providing thoughtful suggestions and ensuring that each choice suited me. When I returned two weeks later to collect my glasses, Bhau took the time to make careful adjustments for the best fit.I am absolutely delighted with my new glasses. Tasks that were previously difficult, such as using my computer, are now much easier, and being in sunlight with my new prescription sunglasses has become enjoyable again. I can’t recommend Clarke & Roskrow highly enough for their expertise, patience, and truly personalized service.

Mary and I recently attended for eye tests, after a 2 year interval ,dictated by Covid.We both were extremely impressed by the thoroughness of the ophthalmic assessment , including ' state of the art ' scanning, conducted by Mr Pandya, the Consulting Optometrist. Moreover he took the time to explain his findings and put our minds at rest about several issues that concerned us.We were then ably assisted by Bhav ,dispensing optician who helped us both with selection of frames and it is a credit to his powers of gentle persuasion that we both opted for styles beyond our usual comfort zones !We returned to collect the finished products this afternoon and Bhav was there to check the finished items were a comfortable fit.We certainly feel the staff who dealt with us, including the receptionist , were courteous and helpful.We plan to attend for a further review next year.

I had a lovely experience at Clarke & Roscoe, and having worked in an opticians for many years feel that they could not do a better job. It is a beautiful practice, such a lovely environment to choose spectacles and discuss all the options. Tina was so helpful and I have come away with two amazing pairs of spectacles which I will have much pleasure wearing. The sight test was thorough and Anthony put me at ease. I reached a point in life where I felt my sight required a more personal and in-depth examination and approach to purchasing eyewear, beyond what the high street optician chains could offer albeit they have served me well over the years. From the outset the team at Clarke & Roskrow were excellent, After a very thorough eye examination with Anthony the affable and informative Bhav offered a range of eyewear that provided cause for thought about appearance resulting in the purchase of two different types of specs, great advice! All told a very good experience at this excellent personal opticians in Market Harborough.

This is a fabulous opticians. The service is excellent, the range of frames are stylish and the team are really friendly and highly skilled. Eye care is topnotch and eye health is also an important part of your review. Bhav is wonderful at helping you to choose frames that are stylish and flattering to wear. Clarke & Roskrow is not your typical optician experience. The staff are incredible and guide you through the process with flair, charm and expertise. Bhav helped me to understand which frames would be best suited to my face shape and gave me the time and space to try on pairs multiple times. I never thought having my eyes tested and choosing a pair of glasses could be such an enjoyable experience, I felt the vision test was really thorough and very well explained by Anthony and then Tina was brilliant, she's a lot of fun and really knows how to guide you through choosing the right eyewear. Fantastic service and experience! I had struggled to find glasses that suited my narrow face for years and had children's glasses into my 30s. My partner found Clarke & Ruskrow online, the sight test was thorough, Anthony was brilliant and helped me understand why I was struggling in certain conditions and gave me some tips to help. Tina was also amazing, for years I've picked compromised glasses based on which I hated the least, Tina talked to me to work out what I liked, and worked out which she thought would suit me, she presented me with around 10 pairs, all of which I loved, and had the easier challenge of shortlisting my favourites! I finally have adult glasses that suit me! The service from sight test to receiving the glasses was incredible, with a large variety of glasses, and a brilliant stylist in Tina to support and guide you through it! Highly recommend!

I had put off going to the optician for some time. I needed to replace my broken glasses and dreaded the process of choosing from ugly frames that did not suit me. I was happy to pay extra for something nicer but I had not found an optician that sold anything very special. I visited C&R by accident and was surprised at how comfortable they made me feel and took control of the process. I almost can not describe how remarkably different they are from Anthony's informative and lovely manner whilst carrying out my eye examination to Jason's easy going advise on helping me choose glasses , which I really needed. The glasses are not cheap but they are beautiful quality. Thank you both and I look forward to seeing you at my next examination.

Their choice of frames is amazing but the real skill is their understanding of what the customer wants and what will suit them. I went to the practice when Gabrielle was the manager when I was a kid. They were lovely and welcoming. Most of my family used them as well. They were always helpful but they were very expensive and I had to pick from the children's range when I was 14/15yrs old when I had to start wearing glasses. Unfortunately they don't do petite frames but this was long time ago now (before 2014) so it might have changed since then but I wasn't willing to pay for expensive frames so I moved to a different practice in the end but I wish them all the best.

The service I received was second to none with Tina really taking time to go through what I was looking for alongside what might suit my face. A totally fabulous customer service experience and I can honestly say I've never seen so many gorgeous glasses frames to choose from! Knowing I had to start wearing glasses full time I decided I wanted something better and more stylish than the normal high street options. I booked an appointment with Clarke & Roskrow last November and had a very professional and thorough eye check/test with Vikesh. Jason then helped me enormously with choosing a pair to suit and this was an extremely difficult choice as the range of glasses were incredible and immense. The undivided attention and assistance I have had has been truly amazing. All the staff are so attentive and the personal service they give you is excellent. I have now been wearing my glasses for a couple of months and cannot say how grateful I am to everyone for all the help and support given and the confidence I now have in wearing glasses permanently. I decided to go to Clarke and Roskrow for a styling appointment after searching in vain for glasses that were not the same as everyone else's, actually fit well and suited my face. An enlightening and entertaining hour in Tina's experienced hands led to 2 new pairs of funky and original specs (just the beginning of my glasses wardrobe I think as I'm already following some of their designers and looking forward to my next pairs!)This is a truly unique and lovely opticians who make the experience of trying on specs so enjoyable.

My husband and I have just had new glasses. While I really appreciate the expertise, the gorgeous frames and the lovely premises, what moves me is the way my husband, who is struggling with Alzheimer’s, is handled. I thought that the service and experience at my previous opticians was good but then a friend recommended you. The experience was delightful, the outcome (a new pair of vari-focal sunglasses) to be fully tested during a trip to Australia in March and the chocolates all made the 50 round mile trip more than worthwhile.
